About Sean Baxter

Sean Baxter, now a resident of the Virginia Home in Richmond, VA, has had a lifelong passion about nature and its many creatures. He works part-time at Goodwill Industries.

Throughout his life, Sean Baxter’s relationship with nature and the spectacular beauty that it offers, has been central to the development of his personality and viewpoint. Born in Japan, he has also resided in Costa Rica, California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, and now in Virginia. He has experienced beautiful, pristine, healthy environments as well as toxic and life-damaging ones. He knows from personal experience the benefits of a positive and clean environment.

Born a healthy, bright, and active baby, Sean suffered from encephalitis with a flu at the age of two years. This illness caused disability for the young child resulting from brain damage. Only special medication and extensive treatments saved his life. Further, at the age of six, he became physically handicapped as the result of an attack by a vicious dog.

Despite these challenges, Sean has maintained an optimistic, positive vision of life and its treasures. Nature, and trees in particular, has been an integral part of his physical and mental development process.

In his spare time he enjoys drawing, writing children’s stories, and actively appreciating the environment. He hopes that you enjoy his stories.

Sean encourages others with disabilities to follow their dreams and make a difference in the world. Eventually, he hopes to contribute proceeds of his stories to nature preservation societies.
